red cross

one love! one heart! let's get together and feel alright
Bob Marley

red cross
hey man, let's not walk this road
thin in the footsteps for the standing
defining love, will you, in some jolly jumped up
greeting card, slobbering worse than a St. Bernard
but at the very least, it's not the dog's fault, collared as he is
but I ask, have we dumbed ourselves into complete numb
'cus these empty words hold such hipped sway
such a fucking disease, borne on the wings of a little death
oh orgasmic relief, a cosmic laugh
but I'm thinning myself into a mighty state, alright
sitting here lonely tonight
'cus you always strike out at home plate
and carving this up to nothingness
is equal to the love of
one
whether by tonguing razors or tracking lines in veins
viens ici
come here, man
how lonely were you Jack
ripping meat-puppets, as if they were yours for the taking
was it a cleansing of soul
'cus the savage butchery of today's disconnect still stains us
blood red in the progression
a grandscale slaughter march
daughter after daughter, mother, sister and brother
I'd still dream if I could promise
hope in the woods, but for the back alley forests
I can't see the trees
so I'll accept
one
contemplate my own navel

  1. Wow, that's one helluva stream-of-consciousness / riposte. Love it.
